The practice now employs an Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner (as of 1.4.19).
Tracy Whitford is available Monday to Friday and can treat childhood illnesses and infections such as ear, eye, nose & throat problems ,dermatology, respiratory problems, gastrointestinal problems , genitourinary and neurological problems ,common childhood infectious diseases, feeding and developmental issues for children and young adults up to 18yrs of age.
Tracy is able to prescribe medication if required and can refer patients on to other services.

Childrens health during the Corona virus pandemic.
If you have concerns about your child’s health you can still contact the advanced paediatric nurse via econsult. Please click the econsult link to complete.She may then telephone or text you, she may arrange a video consultation or in certain circumstances arrange for a face to face appointment if appropriate.
Please don’t hesitate to seek medical help if you feel your child is seriously ill.
The accident and emergency departments are still seeing children and if you need to attend your child will assessed on arrival and cared for in the correct department depending on their medical needs.

Childhood vaccinations are performed by the Practice Nurses. If you have any concerns about vaccination issues the Practice Nurse, your Health Visitor or one of the Doctors would be happy to advise. This Practice is committed to full vaccination and protection of all our children from the potentially serious and life threatening conditions against which we vaccinate.
We also carry out the six to eight week developmental checks and post natal checks. These can be booked with one of the GP's and require a 15 minute appointment per patient.
