Sick Notes And Fit Notes

To request your sick note online please use the SystmConnect service.

Please note - this is a non-urgent request, your sick/fit note will be sent to you via SMS message within 3 working days. Please do not contact us to check if this is ready/in processing. If you require a paper copy, please present at reception who will arrange this for you. You do not need to call us to request this.

Self-certification

If employees are off work for 7 days or less, they do not need to give their employer a fit note or other proof of sickness from a medical professional.

When they return to work, their employer can ask them to confirm they’ve been off sick. This is called ‘self-certification’. The employer and employee will agree on how the employee should do this. For more information please visit 'Ask your employer for Statutory Sick Pay' page on the GOV.UK website (www.gov.uk)
