The Right Care from the Right Person
Almost everyone who contacts a GP practice asks to see a GP. However, many healthcare needs can be met by other highly skilled professionals such as:
-
Advanced Nurse Practitioners
-
Clinical Pharmacists
-
Practice Nurses
-
Health Care Assistants
-
GP Assistants
-
Other community and voluntary services supporting social, emotional, or practical needs
Our Reception Team — Care Navigators
Our reception staff are trained Care Navigators. They will ask for a brief description of your problem—not to be nosy or to stop you seeing a clinician, but to help direct you to the right person who can best assist you.
Our Clinical Team
We currently have 5 GPs:
-
Dr James MacBeth
-
Dr Animesh Sinha
-
Dr Suma Kuna
-
Dr Jaine Rozenbroek
-
Dr Madhavi Gundabathuni
Our Advanced Nurse Practitioners are:
-
Cherie
-
Rachel
-
Tracy (paediatrics)
-
Liz
They are supported by Practice Nurse Prescribers, a Clinical Pharmacist, GP Assistants, and a Health Care Assistant.
How Does Our Appointment System Work?
We offer a mix of face-to-face and telephone appointments.
Our reception team will offer the most appropriate appointment based on your needs. This could be:
-
A telephone consultation
-
A face-to-face appointment
-
An extended access appointment (evenings/weekends)
-
Referral to a pharmacy or local walk-in centre
Receptionists need to ask for details to guide you to the right clinician.
For minor symptoms lasting less than 3 days, please consider consulting your local pharmacy or check the self-care advice on our website.
Appointment Guidelines
-
One appointment = One problem and one patient. Trying to discuss multiple issues or bring additional family members in one appointment can cause delays.
-
Please arrive on time. If you are 10 minutes or more late, you may be asked to reschedule.
Extended Access Appointments
If you find it hard to get an appointment during normal hours, ask our reception about Extended Access Appointments available evenings and weekends across Warrington.
Appointments can be remote or face-to-face and are offered by a variety of clinicians including GPs and Nurses.
Where and When Are These Appointments?
Appointments are available at various GP practices on weekday evenings and at weekends.
Patients registered at any of the six practices in the Warrington Innovation Primary Care Network (PCN) can book appointments at any of these locations.
Participating Practices:
-
4 Seasons Medical Centre
-
Chapelford Medical Centre
-
Guardian Street Medical Centre
-
Parkview Medical Centre
-
Springfields Medical Centre
-
Culcheth Medical Centre
Who Will I See?
You may be seen by a local clinician who is not necessarily from your own GP practice. GPs, Nurses, and Phlebotomists are available.
How Do I Book?
Contact your GP practice and ask for an evening or weekend appointment. Staff will try to book you an appointment at a convenient time.
Please note appointments are subject to availability.
